The rooms were not clean the food was terrible I wouldn’t give it to a dog

The staff were excellent couldn't do enough to help and my dog was made a fuss of by all Breakfast was good except sausages were a little over cooked bar very clean and nice

Breakfast was lovely, entertainment was brilliant, staff are friendly. Love the fact that the hotel is dog friendly, so our dog could have a holiday too..

Reception is large and bright and the receptionist very good. Friendly and helpful. There is a lift to all floors. Bedroom was a good size with a good bed with nice clean linen. Two bedside cabinets both with lamps. A desk and two chairs, tele and wardrobe. Full length mirror. Hairdryer. Shower room is also good size with a shower cubicle with a single headed shower. Toiletries and good towels provided. Clean, bright and warm. Downstairs is a bar, restaurant and events room with Bingo and a ‘turn’ each night. Outside are gardens and a fee paying (£6pn) car park. District is mostly hotels, b&b’s and houses. Quiet and safe. There is a chip shop, Chinese and pizza place within walking distance. Scarborough is about a fifteen minute walk. Staff were mostly friendly and pleasant and helpful. It was good value with breakfast. Everywhere clean enough. Warm and friendly.

We chose to visit here as a spur of the moment thing. In the requests section I asked if we could have a quiet room and a wide bed due to recent surgery. They did both ! We are in our early 60s and this hotel deals largely with coach parties. We had a fantastic time there. The room was big and clean and the breakfast was fine. What set it off for us was the excellent evening entertainment with a good singer, bingo and dancing. It was an absolutely brilliant night with lovely people. Hotel could use a bit of work, but we've stayed in far more expensive places which needed much more doing to them than this. Unbelievably we paid £41 for our room, breakfast and evening entertainment. I can see that rooms are not often available, but we would definitely want to return and highly recommend it if you want a warm welcome and a fun atmosphere. Thank you to everyone there.

We have stayed before and find it good value. Location suits us as we enjoy a walk and breakfast was nice and hot and set us up for the day.

We were looking forward to breakfast after reading reviews but it was a big disappointment. Very chaotic to say the least. We were allocated a table number and told breakfast was between 8 and 9.30. We went down at 9 to find our table which only had a bunch of flowers on, no cutlery or cups. Went to get orange juice, the jar was empty had to ask for it to be refilled. Asked a staff member for cups for tea/coffee, who informed us they were on our table! Informed him they weren't so he went off to get 2 cups. Then urn for hot water was empty, only half a cup of luke warm water came out. The coffee station drip tray was overflowing and then coffee machine stopped working so had to wait for that to be looked at. Had to ask for cutlery. On hot buffet the tomatoes and eggs had run out. Asked a staff member if we could have poached eggs instead, they turned up after we'd finished our breakfast. So not the experience we were hoping for.

All the facilities were fine, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good breakfast and it was clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent.

Staff and location ok, Breakfast was reasonable. There was some entertainment, quite good and bingo if you are into that.

The Hotel was acceptable but offerred very little comfort ,We did stay with our Dog who was made welcome but the room had a terrible stained carpet .The bathroom was poor very grubby and needed a revamp .Breakfast was quite good & it wasnt a problem sitting in the bar area with the dog .
